I bring an interdisciplinary set of skills to my role as a LCPC. I hold a bachelor's degree in nursing from Northwestern University and specialize in eating disorders, post-abortion healing, PTSD (survivors of trauma tenaciously and creatively recovering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and adolescent therapy. My preparation for this includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Ministry degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary which equips me to reach beyond the typical issues of mental illness, addiction, personality disorders, and relational problems. I also offer resources in the area of religion and spirituality. I serve children, adolescents, couples and families. I combine Christian value commitment with excellent clinical competence. Over the years, I have worked in hospital, residential, church and private settings as both an RN and Licensed Counselor.
I am published in several pastoral journals and enjoy teaching, freelance writing and speaking. I am an adjunct professor at Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, Illinois, and am an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Level 2 trained clinician.
One of my greatest joys is celebrating God's grace, peace, and forgiveness with my counselees.
